Sebastian has a strong passion for education, as he studied at the coveted Harvard University, and sought to start his very own microschool with the help of KaiPod Catalyst. Inner Fire currently serves students in the San Francisco region, ages 7 to 12, who are seeking a more personalized approach to education.
One of the best aspects of opening a microschool is flexibility with location. As you consider the type of location you desire for your microschool program, you should develop a clear vision of your ideal student (and the kind of space that would best suit their needs), map out your ultimate space, and consider which fits your vision as closely as possible.
We recently connected with Jourdan Simmang,KaiPod Catalyst participant, and founder ofSpyrja Academy of New Braunfels, Texas. Jourdan has always felt the world of education was in dire need of a stirring, so through the Catalyst program he launched his very own microschool. Throughout his years of teaching, he's found monumental success in student achievement through blended learning that addresses the unique needs of each learner. With the help of KaiPod Catalyst, Spyrja Academy currently serves students in the New Braunfels region who are seeking a more personalized approach to education.
